Anca Vaida

Actress, Director & Writer

Anca Vaida is a multi-award winning actress, director and writer and a BAFTA Connect Member. She won multiple Best Actress and Best Director awards at international film festivals for the TV Series ‘Psyched!’. Anca's film ‘Too Important’ screened at the Oscar Qualifying Film Festival - Raindance, 2023.


Some of Anca's most notable theatre projects include acting in the play ‘24 (Day): The Measure of My Dreams’ at the Almeida Theatre (London), in ‘Fine and Dandy’ at King's Head Theatre (London),  and in ‘Sorry, My Compassion is on the Blink’ at the Pleasance Theatre (London) and directing the play ‘Maybe I do’ which received an Offie Award Nomination. Anca can also be heard on BBC Radio 4's ‘Crossing Continents’.


Anca is a film judge at the Believe Psychology Film Festival, Los Angeles, and a guest lecturer on the Filmmaking BA Course at Middlesex University, teaching the module "Directing Actors". Anca combines her acting, directing and writing work with being a doctor working in the NHS in London.
