Tommaso Barba

Born in Rome in 2002, Tommaso Barba (he/him) graduated in Directing and Screenwriting from Griffith Academy in 2021. He then completed his studies at Scuola Holden and earned a Master’s Degree in Screenwriting from the Civica Scuola di Cinema “Luchino Visconti” in 2023. In 2024, he served as a jury member at the Deluxe Film Festival and participated in the Sentiero Script Lab and the itinerant writing residency “Courts entre 2 rives”.

Tommaso has demonstrated his practical skills by directing and writing short films such as ‘Dall’altro lato’ (2022), ‘Toska’ (2023), and ‘Camilla’ (2024).

His works have received numerous international awards, including Best Direction at the AnimArt Film Festival for ‘Dall’altro lato’ (2022) and over 50 awards for ‘Toska’ (2023), including Best European Director at the Hollywood on the Tiber Film Awards and Best European Screenplay at Ibiza Film Production.
